What are You Experiencing?

It is not uncommon for a person suffering anxiety and depression to also experience panic disorders or generalized anxiety disorder. What this means is that the sufferer may get panic attacks complete with dizziness and shortness of breath.

These types of panic attacks occur in both men and women and usually reach their peak at 10 minutes. Sufferers of generalized panic disorder, however, will usually experience longer periods of anxiety. It may be harder to pinpoint the cases of generalized panic disorder because it may not be related to a specific object or situation.

It’s been scientifically reported that even mild anxiety symptoms can negatively effect a person’s depression. These studies show that a depressed person who suffers anxiety is less likely to return to a normal daily routine. Therefore, whenever anxiety is present in the life of someone suffering depression, the cause of that anxiety must be examined and alleviated because it may make depression even worse.
